Warranty Policy
At KOIBONI, we build outdoor power equipment to deliver consistent performance season after season. Every product we sell is covered by a one-year limited warranty, honored directly by Koiboni.
This policy should be read together with our Refund & Return Policy, our Shipping Policy, and our Terms of Service.
1. What Is Covered
Koiboni warrants that, for one (1) year from the date you receive your item, your product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and proper maintenance.
This warranty is honored directly by Koiboni. You do not need to contact a manufacturer or a third-party service centre — contact us and we will handle the claim.
2. Our Remedy
- If a valid warranty claim is approved, Koiboni will, at our option, repair or replace the defective product or the defective part, free of charge.
- Where a product is no longer available, we may substitute a comparable model of equal or greater value.
- Repair or replacement does not extend or restart the original one-year warranty period.
- Repair or replacement is the sole remedy under this warranty. A warranty claim is not a route to a refund. If you want a refund, you must return the item within the 30-day window described in Section 6 below.
3. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Wear parts and consumables, including blades, spark plugs, filters, belts, cords, nozzles, spools, lubricants, and fuel.
- Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic scratches, fading, dulling, and surface corrosion.
- Damage from misuse, abuse, accident, or neglect, including operation outside the product's stated capacity.
- Improper fuel, oil, or fluid, including stale fuel, incorrect fuel-to-oil ratio, and fuel left in the tank during storage.
- Failure to perform routine maintenance as set out in the product manual.
- Unauthorised repair or modification, or use of non-approved replacement parts.
- Damage in transit, which is handled under Section 7 of our Shipping Policy, not this warranty.
- Products purchased from a reseller rather than directly from Koiboni.
- Freight, labour, or fuel costs incurred by you outside of an approved claim.
4. How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Email support@koiboni.com with the subject line "Warranty Claim".
- Include your order number, your proof of purchase (your order confirmation email), the product model, and a clear description of the fault. Photographs or a short video are extremely helpful and will speed up assessment.
- Our support team will respond within 24 hours on business days and will confirm whether the claim is accepted, and whether the product needs to be returned for inspection.
- Do not ship a product back before we authorise it. Unauthorised returns will not be accepted, consistent with our Refund & Return Policy.
5. Shipping Costs on Warranty Claims
Where a claim is approved, Koiboni covers shipping in both directions — sending the item to us and returning the repaired or replacement item to you.
Separately, within 30 days of delivery you may return any item using the free prepaid return label provided under our Refund & Return Policy, at no cost to you. Outside that 30-day window, if a warranty claim is inspected and the item is found not to be defective, or the fault falls under Section 3 above, you will be responsible for return shipping.
6. Warranty vs. Returns — Which Applies?
These are two separate things, and it is worth knowing which one you need:
- Within 30 days of delivery, if you simply changed your mind or the product isn't right for you, use our Refund & Return Policy. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 days.
- Within 12 hours of ordering, and before the order enters processing, you may cancel outright under our Order Cancellation Policy.
- Within one year of delivery, if the product develops a defect in materials or workmanship, this Warranty Policy applies and we will repair or replace it.
7. Transferability
This warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and is not transferable. Consistent with Section 3 of our Terms of Service, products purchased for commercial resale or export are not covered.
8. Limitations and Your Statutory Rights
Except as expressly stated in this policy, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Koiboni disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, as set out in Section 16 of our Terms of Service. Our liability is limited as described in Section 17 of those Terms.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Nothing in this policy removes any statutory right you have under applicable law.
9. Governing Law & Changes to This Policy
This Warranty Policy forms part of our Terms of Service and is governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, as stated in our Legal Notice. Personal information collected in connection with a warranty claim is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update this policy at any time. The version in effect on the date of your purchase governs your product. The current version will always be available on this page.
